Hi! I just found out about a neat cause I know you will want to know about! Did you know
there is a severe form of autism that primarily affects girls? It's called Rett Syndrome. I
had no idea there were so many affected....one born every 90 minutes! There are
thousands of these girls in the United States alone who cannot speak or use their hands.
Most cannot even walk. You can see a short video about the syndrome at
www.girlpower2cure.org/video.html.
They have a cool fund raiser coming up called "Dress Up 2 Cure" where people all over
are getting dressed up during the month of April! Let's think of a way to participate! It
sounds really easy and fun. Or just consider a donation.
This one looks curable! I want to help unlock these girls, like that movie "Awakenings!"
