Welcome to Dress Up 2 Cure - Team Kindell!!
We are pleased to introduce you to the very special star of
our team...KINDELL!!
She was diagnosed with RS in October 2005. As with many of
the girls, she has diminished motor skills and extremely
limited use of her hands. Kindell can walk independently
requiring much guidance and encouragement.
Verbal communication is also an issue, but what Rett has
taken from her, she compensates for with engaging facial
expressions. It's not a perfect system, but it works for now.
We're just beginning to dabble in the world of augmentative
communication.
We celebrated Kindell's third birthday in December, but
celebrate others' year round - be it family, friends or Bob the
stuffed giraffe. You see, "Happy Birthday" is a sure fire way
to produce at least one dimple if not both. It's been on the
top of our hit list for quite some time now, although this
holiday season brought "Jingle Bells" to a very
close second.
Kindell stays busy with various therapies and her
never-ending appetite, but is trying to find time to campaign
for president of the "Wonder Pets" fan club. For her that's
just laugh out loud fun. She is generally a content and happy
little girl who loves to share her smile and delights in the
happiness of others. To share time with her is sure to warm
your heart.
We are working to raise research funds to release what Rett
has trapped in our girls.
