Hey, we're Girl Authority and we're proud to be a team participating in "Dress Up 2 Cure".
Girl Authority is a girl group made up of nine girlfriends (Tarr, Jacqueline, Alex, Carly, Jess,
Gina, Crystal, Kate and Zoe -- that's us!). Our first CD has sold over 100,000 copies, and
we are counting down to the release of our second CD "Road Trip" on March 13! We sing
pop songs that kids know and love, and also girl-power songs written just for us!
Why are we involved with Rett Syndrome? Well, part of the message we want to send to our
fans is that kids helping kids is a cool thing. We've done benefit shows for kids with cancer
and AIDS, and it means a lot to us to use our talents to improve the world, even just a little
bit. We know Rett Syndrome affects mostly girls and, since we're all girls, we wanted to step
up and do our part to help.
So . . . there are nine of us, and we are pretty silly even when we are not supposed to be!
Dressing up silly on April Fool's Day? We're soooo there! We're going to dress as silly as
we can, and get together to make big, colorful, happy, hopeful cards for the Rett Angels at
the hearts of the teams taking part in "Dress Up 2 Cure". We're going to put pictures on our
website (www.girlauthority.com) and ask our fans to contribute what they can. Our record
company says it will match the fan contributions that come in!
Can't wait until April 1 to see what "Team Girl Authority" decides to wear!!
